• As research shows, fruit trees have been under drought stress for years with no prospect of improvement.
• Because the vegetation started earlier, the flower buds often suffer from severe night frosts.
• The average daily temperature rises by 1.5 ºC; at the same time more summer days over 25 ºC and a longer growing season.
• High risk due to a significant increase in hail events and heavy rain.
• The intense heat is increasingly causing sunburn in fruit.

Berry cultivation (using the example of raspberries)

• Raspberries are very sensitive to the weather.
• Above all, they need to be protected from too much sun and rain.
• The foil roof, which is often installed shortly before harvesting to protect the berries from moisture (costs and labor), can be permanently saved by building over it with an AgriPV system.
• Bush berries are more and more frequently sunburned, which makes them inedible (currants, raspberries, blackberries and above all gooseberries are particularly sensitive to this).
• The first damage occurs even with the increasingly frequent air temperatures of over 30 °C and fruit temperatures of over 40 °C.

• Grapes are extremely sensitive to climatic changes.
• Rising temperatures result in higher sugar levels in the grapes and less acidity. This leads to an undesirable harmonization of taste characteristics.
• The increasingly frequent occurrences of hail also play a major role in viticulture.
• Warm, humid weather unfortunately creates ideal conditions for the spread of fungal infections.
